Generate scan-to-order QR codes

Updated over 11 months ago

This guide walks you through how to generate scan-to-order QR codes in D-Store Console for printing and displaying in your restaurant.

About D-Store QR codes

D-Store supports two types of QR codes, both allowing customers to scan and access your online store.

  • Table QR code: After scanning the code, customers open your online store with their order automatically tied to a specific table number. You can print these codes and attach them to specific tables. This option is best for full-service restaurants where tables and seating are fixed, enabling dine-in customers to order by themselves and have their orders delivered directly to their tables.

  • Store QR code: After scanning the code, customers open your online store without being tied to a table number. This option is best for quick-service restaurants. You can print and display these codes at your storefront or counter, allowing customers to place orders and skip the queue. Customers can either have items delivered to their tables or be notified when their orders are ready for pickup at the counter.

Before you begin

  • To generate table QR codes, you need to first set up tables. For more information, refer to Manage sections and tables.

  • For store QR codes, whether customers will be prompted to select from a range of fixed table numbers or enter a table stand number depends on your POS settings. Refer to Manage POS settings to learn how to enable table or table stand number requirements for order taking.

  • Prepare your logo asset: You can generate QR codes featuring your logo to personalize them with your brand. Your logo asset should meet these requirements:

  • We provide 2 QR code print sizes - 5cm suitable for table stickers and 7cm suitable for table stands.
