This guide walks you through the steps to manage items on D-Store Console.
Before you begin
Before performing any actions on an item, ensure you have completed the following tasks:
Understand the guidelines for the standard item structure. D-Store allows you to create products with up to five levels. However, if you plan to sell on food delivery platforms, such as GrabFood and Foodpanda, keep the products no more than three levels. Otherwise, the platforms will truncate the extra levels. The product levels are as follows:
Items
Choice groups
Choices (the third level)
Choice groups
Choices (the fifth level)
(Optional) If your account is associated with more than one organization, specify the target organization in the search area by selecting a proper option in the Organization field and clicking Filter.
Create items and variants
You can use either of the following methods to create items:
Quick Create: Create an item by simply entering the item name and price. This method makes the created item available to all stores and sales channels and uses a universal price for all stores and sales channels.
Upload & Extract Menu: Bulk import items by uploading a menu. D-Store extracts and creates the items on the menu.
Manual Create: Customize the item availability and price for different stores and sales channels.
Bulk Import: Import the products in bulk with a spreadsheet.
Duplicate Items: Duplicate the menus and products from your D-Store merchant.
Note:
If you do not use D-Store POS, you need to request your POS provider to create products via the syncProduct API.
To create multiple items at once, you must include the items in a category and enable the category in the store menu.
Quick Create
To create an item quickly, take the following steps:
On D-Store Console, go to Products > Items.
Click + Quick Create in the top-left corner of the item list.
Enter the item name and price.
Click the check mark in the Actions column to save the item.
Upload & Extract Menu
To create an item with a menu, take the following steps:
On D-Store Console, go to Products > Items > Create > Upload & Extract Menu.
Upload your menu image and wait for the item extraction from your image.
Add the extracted items to the menu.
Manual Create
To create an item manually, take the following steps:
On D-Store Console, go to Products > Items > Create > Manual Create.
In the confirmation pop-up, hover your mouse over the menu you want to select and click Select.
Standard Item: You can create an item with customizable modifiers. It is ideal for creating combo meals.
Item Variants: You can create an item with different attributes such as color, flavor, and size.
In the example below, the Standard Item is selected.
Enter the product name, ID, and optional details. For more information on the entry fields, refer to Learn about item configuration fields.
Click Save.
Bulk Import
To create items in bulk, refer to Bulk import products and categories.
Duplicate Items
Independent franchisees can duplicate menus and products from your D-Store merchant if there is no item under the organization. To duplicate items, take the following steps:
On D-Store Console, go to Products > Items > Create Item > Duplicate Items.
In the confirmation popup, click Confirm to proceed.
Wait a few seconds for the duplication to be completed, and then the page will refresh and display all the duplicated items.
Edit items and variants
Refer to the following sections based on the information you need to update:
Edit full item information
To edit the full information of an item, take the following steps:
On D-Store Console, go to Products > Items.
Locate the target item in the list and click Edit in the Actions column.
Provide the updated item details. For more information on the entry fields, refer to Learn about item configuration fields.
Click Save.
Edit item price
You can edit the item price by editing the item's full information, changing the price in the item list, or bulk changing prices. For more information on editing item price, refer to Change item price.
Edit item availability
You can set whether an item is included in a store by editing the item's full information. Moreover, you can update the item status in the store by switching between Available and Sold Out. For more information on editing item availability, refer to Set item status.
Delete items and variants
To delete an item, take the following steps:
On D-Store Console, go to Products > Items.
Locate the target item in the list and click Edit in the Actions column.
Click Delete, and then in the confirmation popup, click Delete again.
Note:
Deleting an item removes it from its categories. If the item is included in an active menu, it is also removed from the stores.
Deleting an item does not delete its linked choice groups or choices.
