D-Store POS security
The D-Store POS app employs a robust two-layer security system to protect your business data and prevent unauthorized access:
Device code authentication: Each device linked to your account in D-Store Console is assigned a unique device code. When logging into the D-Store POS app, you must enter this code as the first security layer. This ensures only authorized devices can connect to your business backend and access sensitive information. Learn more about how to add a device On D-Store Console.
User PIN authentication: After device verification, the system requires a user PIN as the second security layer. Each employee is assigned a unique PIN code with specific permission levels through the D-Store Console. This allows managers to control which features different staff members can access while creating an audit trail of all transactions and actions performed in the system. First login
The first login requires your device code and your user PIN.
Device code
To retrieve your device code, follow these steps in D-Store Console:
On D-Store Console, go to POS > Device.
Click Setup in the Actions column.
Locate the desired device, and click the Copy icon to copy the device code.
User PIN
Obtain the user PIN
Contact your store manager to obtain your user PIN. PINs are assigned when user roles are created.
Edit the user PIN
Users with higher permission levels can edit their own user PIN or the user PINs of users with lower permission levels. For example, store managers can edit PINs for cashiers.
To edit the user PIN, follow these steps:
On D-Store Console, hover over the account icon in the top-right corner, and click My Account.
Under Space Info, in the PIN field, click Edit.
Enter a 6-digit PIN, and click Save.
Log in
Launch the D-Store POS app on your Android device, and tap Log In.
At the device authentication screen, enter the device code.
After successful device verification, you will be directed to the user login page. Select your username from the list of authorized users.
Enter your 6-digit user PIN.
Log out
Individual user logout
In the D-Store POS app, tap the more options icon at the top of the side menu, and tap Log Out. You will return to the user login page.
Complete device logout
It is best practice to log out of your device at the end of the service day or during troubleshooting. To fully log out of the device, follow the steps below:
On the user login page, tap Log Out, and you will return to the device code authentication page.
