The device is the physical hardware that runs the D-Store POS app and creates a complete system for managing your Food & Beverage business. This guide walks you through the steps to create devices quickly on D-Store Console during onboarding.
Before you begin
Before creating a device on D-Store Console, ensure that you have created a store and have devices available. For more information, refer to Create stores and Compatible devices.
Create devices
To create devices on D-Store Console, take the following steps:
Click Create to navigate to Device during your onboarding.
Locate the store for which you want to create devices and click Setup in the Actions column.
Click Add Device in the upper right corner.
Enter the device details. For more information on the entry fields, refer to Learn about device configuration fields.
Click Save to finalize all the device settings, and your device is created successfully.
Learn about device configuration fields
On the Add Device page, D-Store provides various types of devices to cater to your different business needs. In this section, you will learn about how to configure the fields associated with each device mode.
Device Mode
The Device Mode field specifies the different modes for various business needs. You can select one or two of the following modes to process payments or orders on a single device:
All-in-One POS: Select this option to manage in-store and online orders. This device mode also allows you to accept cashless payments for in-store orders.
Note: This is a single-choice option, where other device modes will be disabled once this option is selected.
Online Order Terminal: Select this option to manage online orders from D-Store or other delivery platforms.
Payment Terminal: Select this option to accept cashless payments for in-store orders. This device mode also allows you to process refunds and reconciliation.

Device Type
Depending on the selected Device Mode or your D-Store plan, below are the available device types you can select:
For a desktop or tablet terminal, select Desktop/Tablet.
For a mobile phone or handheld terminal, select Mobile.
Kiosk is only available for upgraded plans.

Device Name
This is a mandatory field. It is recommended to use a clear and descriptive name that indicates the store and the purpose of the device.
Note: The maximum length of characters allowed for Device Name is 20.
Device ID
Assign a unique ID to your device. The assigned ID cannot be edited once the device is created. This is a mandatory field.
Note: The maximum length of characters allowed for Device Name is 8.
Device Status
This field indicates whether the device is enabled to receive orders and process payments in your store. It is disabled by default. Enable the Device Status toggle to start receiving orders and processing payments with the device.
Customer Mode
This field indicates whether the payment terminal will display the interface exclusively for customers. It is enabled by default. Synchronization to the device is required whenever this field is enabled or disabled.
Optional fields
Depending on the selected device mode, you can choose whether to specify the following optional fields:
The two fields specify the information to be displayed on the receipt headers.
Tax Name: Give a description, and what does it do.
Tax ID: Give a description, and what does it do.
